3 weeks ago planted in the raised beds eggplant and bell paper. It doesn't look good. Leafs became yellow and curled. What do I need to do? Thank you. |
Yellowing leaves are usually an indication of poor drainage, which is unusual in a raised bed. Did you amend the soil with organic matter prior to planting? If so, the yellowing leaves might indicate a need for fertilizer. Try a foliar feeding of a liquid fertilizer such as Miracle Gro or Miracid. If you did not amend the bed with organic matter prior to planting, it could be that your garden is not draining well. Since the plants are small and have not been in the ground long, you can dig them, mix some compost into the soil and then replant. This should boost their root growth and new leaves should be a healthy green. Best wishes with your garden! |
