| I don't know if you are dealing with winter kill because of the type of grass you are growing, or if there's a soil problem. And, I'm not sure whether you are in the northern or southern part of the state. So, the best advise I can give is to suggest the following websites hosted by Utah State University cooperative extension. One deals with northern Utah, the other with southern Utah.
