I have violet flowered weeds in my backyard lawn and it has ruined my lawn all together. What do you suggest I should do. I also have dead grass and some places i just have brown spots.

Wild violets are really difficult to control because the roots are bulbs and they can resprout when you cut off the tops of the plants. So the best control measure is to dig the violets out, bulbs and all. After you've done that, rake the bare areas and reseed. Same with the patches of dead grass. Rake them out and overseed the bare areas. Then put your lawn on a regular watering, mowing and feeding schedule to promote a lush, thick lawn. Enjoy your garden!
