Our church last year laid zoysia sod and failed to roll it afterwards. This has created an uneven lawn and gaps are also present. Can sand be spread over the area without harming the lawn? |
You can level an uneven lawn by spreading sand or topsoil over the top and watering it down, then letting the grass grow up through the topsoil. Add no more than one half inch at a time, letting the sod grow up through each application or you will suffocate the turf. It may take months, but eventually you will have a nice level turf. |
