We bought 2 beautiful southern magnolia trees this spring and now 3 weeks later the trees are losing their leaves. All of them. Why?

I suspect some transplant shock is affecting your magnolias but this is also the time of year when they shed their oldest leaves as they prepare to produce new leaves. I would wait and watch the trees for the next 3-4 weeks. You should see new leaf buds swelling on the stems. In the meantime, be sure to water deeply once each week to help the roots become established in their new homes. Good luck with your magnolias!
