I'll be attempting to add grass seed to my lawn soon and notice I have quite a bit of clay in my soil. Can you recommend a specific type of seed I should use given the clay soil content ?

I think I would add a thin layer of compost or topsoil to the lawn prior to reseeding. You only need a quarter to a half inch, spread over the entire lawn and then watered in prior to seeding. If you add a thin layer to your lawn each spring for the next few years it will work its way down to the roots of the turf and give your grass a better place to root. Best wishes with your lawn!
