I live in the south, & every year I plant purple coneflower (echinechia), & every year they die before the summer has ended. What am I doing wrong? They are my favorite plant, but I have no luck with them, please help!

Although they are sun loving plants, sometimes the combination of high heat and humidity are just too much for purple coneflower plants. Try planting one where it will get full morning sun and filtered shade in the afternoon? I think it will perform better for you if it gets just a little respite from hot afternoon sunshine. It's worth a try!
