I would like to obtain a tamarix ramosissima (sometimes known as a salt cedar) tree. I had one recently cut down due to an unrelenting carpenter ant invasion and the inability of the Bartlett tree co. to contain them. It was pruned to be a magnificent 15' tree and must have been about 35 years old. Can large ones be safely shipped and installed? |
Large trees can be shipped and installed but they are best obtained locally so my advice is to check your phone book for commercial nurseries that carry large trees and are willing to deliver and install them, as well. By dealing with a single company for purchase, delivery and installation you will be sure of the warranty in case something goes wrong. |
