Sod is sold in strips 20? wide x 40? long. A pallet of sod normally covers 450 - 500 square feet of lawn. Measure the area that you want to sod; for instance, a 20' by 50' area is 1000 square feet and for this project you will need 2 pallets of sod. You can also purchase single strips of sod if you need a little more to finish a job.
