| The brown leaf margins indicates over or under watering. When you cut off the brown areas you cut into the leaf tissues and they died. The rest of the leaf sealed off the injury. The more you cut off the brown edges, the more brown each leaf will produce. They are simply sealing off an injury. Fiddleleaf figs will lean toward the light source. If yours is only growing on one side, all you need to do is give your plant a quarter turn each time you water it. This will expose different parts of the plant to stronger light and the plant will grow evenly.
