I live in the Chicago area and wanted to plant some elephant ears. My local home depot had some single very large bulbs and some 4 packs of smaller bulbs. Ihave 2 questions, 1 Will the very large bulb give ma a bigger plant than the small bulbs. And 2 is there any way I can save the bulb in the fall to replant the following spring,or does it have to be rebought every year?
thanks sue grabows

The larger bulbs will provide bigger plants so choose the biggest bulbs you can find. You can save the bulbs from year to year. Simply cut away the foliage after the first frost of the season, brush the dirt off the bulbs and store them in a cool dark place that remains above freezing over the winter months. Then replant the bulbs each spring. Enjoy!
