The Q&A Archives: too much rain fall

Question: in Houston we cna get a down pour in rain; can you give me some advice as to how protect my newly planted seedlings and the flowers that I have already growing? thank you very much!

Answer: If you prepared your soil prior to planting it should drain quickly and aside from having your plants beaten down a bit by the rain, they should be okay. There's not much you can do to protect them short of placing a temporary umbrella over them! Wish I had more ideas to share.
