I have a small vegetable garden and use a liquid pestiside. I would like to know when is the best time to apply. Would it be in the morning or the afternoon? I do enjoy your question and answer site, it has been very helpful to me. Keep up the good work.

I'm glad you like the site! My first suggestion is to read the label instructions. Manufacturers are required to list how and when to apply the product. If the label doesn't mention time of day, take these points into consideration: 1) Is the insecticide harmful to bees? Pollinating bees are some of our best buddies in the garden, and are most active in morning. 2)Does the label caution about plant damage if applied in bright sunlight? 3)When are the pest insects active/present? If you need more help with deciding what to do, there's often a phone number listed on the product label - you can call the manufacturer's customer service line for specifics. We're also very interested in helping home gardeners reduce the use of pesticides, so if you'd like suggestions for fighting different pests, let us know. We're here to help!
