I have hundreds of holes that been created in my grass. The soil is pushed up to form small hills.
Believe the insect that caused it is very small and flying around now. How can I get rid of it, preferable some green home
solutions, i.e. ammonia and water?

Without knowing exactly which pest you're dealing with, I can't offer any control measures. I'd hold off on the ammonia and water solution - earthworms create small holes and little hills of soil. They surface when the soil is overly saturated but then go back down into the ground when the soil dries out. Earthworms are important and I'd hate to see you kill them (and your lawn) with ammonia!
