Maiden Grass and Lavender - Knowledgebase Question

Hi there,
I live in Idaho (Boise area) and will have a few Oranmental Grasses planted (gracillimus-Maiden Grass and some lavender planted in May)are these good plants for landscaping and minimal care??? Thank you....Terri

Both should be planted in well draining soil and both will take summer heat. If you prune your lavender back a little when it has finished blooming it will remain thick and lush. If you don't prune, it will get leggy after a few years in the garden. Aside from trimming it back, it should grow without too much care. Enjoy your landscape
