The Q&A Archives: Jasmine Not Blooming

Question: I bought a Jasmine polyanthum that was blooming. When new buds formed, they didn't bloom. What could be the reason for this?

Answer: Sometimes plants go into shock when transplanted, or when taken from perfect growing conditions (like at a nursery or greenhouse). Give your plant some time to adjust. You can encourage additional blossoms by pinching off the tips of the vines.
