As pathetic as your rose bush looks now, it will perk up as soon as the roots become re-established in the ground. It will take a few weeks so don't give up on your plant. Just water deeply once each week and give it some time. When you see new growth you will know the roots have become established and at that time you can prune back any obviously dead stems and leaves. Best wishes with your rose bush!
