The Q&A Archives: Co-dominant leader on tree

Question: I planted a Cleveland pear tree about 4 years ago in my front yard. It has a co-dominant leader. The tree is approx. 12-14 ft high and trunk approx. 4" diameter. Do I need to cut out one of the leaders? If so, how do I choose - they both are identical?
