Cleveland pears typically grow a single leader but having two won't hurt your tree. As it matures I think you will find that only one of the upright branches will develop into the more dominant central leader. You can remove the competing leader, which will result in a crook in the tree as the then dominant leader takes over. I'd be inclined to leave it alone. |
