I'd look for tomatoes with short days to harvest - Early Pick is a good choice. Supersweet 100's, Celebrity, Jetstar, Big Beef, Supersonic have done well for me. Use a 50/50 mixture of garden soil and potting soil to fill your containers and then plant your tomatoes. It's a little late in the season to start seeds and have good sized transplants to place out in your garden so you might want to purchase tomato transplants for your containers (just to give you a head start on the season). Be sure to look for short season varieties and you'll have a terrific harvest. Enjoy!
