We live in Connecticut and have to patch our lawn to repair damage after tree work was done. We have a mix of sun and shade and need advice on what percentage of recommended grasses we should look for as we shop for seed.

Turf type tall fescues are the most shade tolerant, followed by a mixture of fine fescues and shade tolerant bluegrass. The exact percentage isn't as important as the blend. Be sure it contains tall fescue, fine fescue and bluegrass. Best wishes with your lawn!
