Hi, I noticed today while working in the yard that there were alot of slug looking bugs in my grass could this be the reason why my grass is dying off?

Slugs do hide in lawns but they typically don't feed on it. Why not capture a few of the suspects and take them into your nursery or cooperative extension office for positive identification? Could be the culprits, but then again without knowing exactly what they are, I can't really recommend a control or a solution. Best wishes with your lawn!
