| I have two Queens Wreath vines that do not seem to be growing. This is there second year and they still have some of last seasons leaves on them. Do I need to trim them down to the ground so they will come back? |
| Queen's Wreath is the common name for Antigonon leptopus, an evergreen vine native to Mexico. It's a tuberous-rooted perennial vine which grows quickly to 40'. The leaves are bright green, arrow or heart shaped, and the plant produces sprays of small, rose-pink flowers from midsummer to fall. If yours are not growing well, pruning should wake them up and make them put out new growth. You can prune them lightly all summer long to encourage healthy new growth. Enjoy! |
