The Q&A Archives: holly tree

Question: Hi I have a holly bush and the leaves have all turned brown. Is it dead?

Answer: Brown leaves are not natural! Try pruning back one of the branches. If the tissue in the middle is green, that branch is still alive; if the tissue is brown, the branch is dead. Just keep cutting back until you find live material. If you don't the tree is dead. How sad!
