The Q&A Archives: Killing Roots

Question: we need to remove plants to put in a patio. what do you recommend to use to kill any remaining roots so they do not grow back?

Answer: Roots will die out if they cannot send up new sprouts - which they won't be able to do under a concrete patio. But, to be extra sure, you can spray or paint the exposed roots with Round Up which is a vegetation killer.
