The Q&A Archives: daffodils

Question: Will cutting our daffodils for cut flowers increase or decrease next years blooms. JWK

Answer: Cutting just the flowering stem but not the foliage will not harm your daffodils at all. The flowers are wonderful in a vase! Just leave the foliage alone to die down on its own (it transports energy to the bulb for next spring's floral display). Enjoy your daffodils!
