I recently planted some leyland cypruss trees and roses and added mulch. I noticed that now they have termites & ants from the mulch.I have a pest control appt. Will they survive? |
Once the mulch is treated you shouldn't have more problems with ants and termites. It is a good idea to rake the mulch periodically to annoy any critters that might be trying to make a home within the mulch. Just rake it around a little to incorporate some air. As mulch begins to decompose it will give off some heat - most termites won't like that. Best wishes with your garden! |
