The Q&A Archives: dafodils

Question: My dafodils for the past three years have not flowered only the green leaves appear

Answer: It is possible your bulbs are overcrowded. The most common reasons for non-blooming are removing the foliage too soon or that the bulbs are competiting for nutrients and moisture. Allow the foliage to ripen and turn brown, then dig up the bed and space the bulbs 4-6 inches apart. Best wishes with your daffodils.
