When Indian Hawthornes blooms are finished, is it best to cut the spent blooms off or to leave them as you do on some other flowers (daffodills, day lilies, etc.)? |
The best time to prune Indian Hawthorne is immediately after they have finished blooming. You can prune off the spent blooms or you can just leave them and they will eventually fall off. I'd prune them off, along with shortening some of the non-blooming stems, just to keep the plant neat and tidy. Enjoy your garden! |
