The Q&A Archives: Plum tree

Question: I live in Maine and I have a plum tree that is four years old. It is very healthy but has not produced any fruit. Do you have any suggestions?

Answer: Although some plum trees are considered self-fruitful, they will produce a heavier crop if another plum tree is in the landscape. I think your plum tree just needs company. Hope you have room for another plum tree!
