Your lawn may have a population of grubs but I don't know for sure. Try digging up a square of green lawn, roots and all and looking at the roots. Grubs are fat and white and will be found hanging from the roots or on the soil where you dug up the lawn. If you find them you can use a grub killer such as Grubex to get rid of them. Best wishes with your lawn!
