what plant can you use to keep gopher's away

The plant you may be thinking of is called gopher purge or gopher spurge (Euphorbia lathyrus). Although we have seen no actual evidence that it really does keep gophers at bay, many gardeners swear by it. One suggests that the roots are so extensive and dense that gophers simply cannot dig through it.
