when can i mow the lawn after i overseeded? The existing lawn is getting tall. The overseeded part is about an inch and a half. Plus there is weed all around the sprouting grass. Should i be concern? Will they out compete the weeds and grow a good root system? I have an inch of water schedule a week for the lawn. How do you grow grass on the bank? Will tall fescue coexist with bermuda?

You can mow your lawn now and if you normally mow at two inches the new grass blades won't be cut but the new grass should be rooted well enough to stay put when you mow. Pull out the weeds while they are young - as the grass thickens up it will crowd out most weeds but right now it is vulnerable to weeds because it is young and thin. Pull out those weeds before they flower and go to seed or you will have a real fight on your hands. Fescue will coexist with bermuda; perennial rye will coexist with bermuda, as well. Good luck with your new lawn!
