| I have been having a problem with my shasta daisies. Each year they bloom but after they bloom the plants will die back and in most cases die completely. I have replanted several times with the same results. They are planted in full sun and I supply ample fertilizer and water. Why would they bloom so well and then just up and die? |
| Root rot is a major problem on Shasta Daisies in the lower south. Excessive moisture in the soil and warm temperatures contribute to the problem. You should plant on raised beds in a soil amended with sand and organic matter (composted bark). Many gardeners with good soil and drainage conditions count on replanting every two or three years. |
