i have 2 peony trees 6 years old. the first 4 years they bloomed beautifully. the last 2 years they just get very leafy with no buds. whats my problem?

Over fertilization will cause excessive foliage at the expense of flowers. Peonies need lots of sunshine so maybe they aren't getting quite enough. Those are the only common causes for non blooming in peonies. Hold off on fertilizer and that may make a difference this year. Hope so!
