I have recently purchased a new home which had 4 hibiscus trees in full bloom last fall when I bought the house. Now they look dead and I haven't cut them back at all. Are hibiscus trees hardy in Columbia, Missouri? Should I cut the dead parts off and hope for the best or just pull the whole thing out. Help Please!

Hardy hibiscus, called Rose of Sharon, will winter over in your gardening region. these plants develop flowers on new growth so you can prune yours back a bit this spring and they will grow lots of new stems and flowers later in the season.
