I started Yukon potatoes in a cage. I was told to keep adding dirt as the stems and leaves grew, this would increase my potatoe production. However, the potatoes are starting to flower, can I still add dirt or did I make a mistake somewhere?

When the plants begin to flower you can stop adding leaves, straw or dirt. The flowering indicates the tubers are beginning to mature. When the tops of the plants die down you can harvest your potatoes. Enjoy!
