| You can grow green onions from seed but not the bulbing type of onion. For those you need to plant little onion bulbs. To grow green onions, set them outdoors in a sunny garden spot and keep them well watered. Harvest them before they send up a seed stalk. You will recognize the seed stalk - it is produced in the center of the cluster of leaves and is round rather than flat like the regular leaves. Good luck with your onions! |
