Strawberry Plants - Knowledgebase Question

I planted strawberries but they won't grow above a few inches of sprouts but not enough for fruit to start, they are from the root not seed growing.What do I do.

I wonder if you amended your soil prior to planting and if your strawberries are getting full sunshine. They usually grow like weeds when planted in rich soil and watered deeply. Or, you may have planted them too deeply. I think I'd dig up the plants, amend the soil with compost or other organic matter and then reset the plants, putting only the roots into the soil and keeping the crowns (centers of the plants) an inch or so above the soil line. Water deeply once or twice a week and I think you will see a huge improvement. Best wishes with your strawberries!
