Answer: To keep your Queen palm in a container you will need to place it in at least a 30 gallon container. Your current planter will be the right size for a year or two but then the roots will become crowded and you will need to plant it in a larger container. Eventually it will have to go into a 30 gallon container to accommodate the roots and keep the plant healthy. I would strongly recommend planting it in the ground, or replacing it with a much smaller palm that will have a much smaller root system. One that will happily grow in a smaller container.
