The Q&A Archives: Fungus?

Question: I have bare circles in my lawn and the grass around the circles is somewhat yellow. What should I do?

Answer: It sounds like rust, but I can't be sure. This grass fungus turns your lawn light green or yellow, with yellow to brown spots. Heavy dew favors this disease and it activates in warm or moist weather. You can use a fungicide. Be sure to maintain vigorous growth with water and a nitrogen fertilizer over the summer months.
