You can grow garlic from cloves, either from a garden center or nursery or from the grocery store.(Sometimes grocery store garlic is treated with a growth inhibitor so purchase organic garlic or find some at a local Farmer's Market). Gently break the whole garlic bulbs apart and separate into individual cloves, leaving the papery skin intact. Plant cloves pointy-side up about 1 to 2 inches deep and 6 inches apart. Plant in full sunshine, water when the top of the soil dries out and keep weeds pulled so they don't compete with your garlic for water and nutrients. Enjoy!
