I love rocks and bought a few exotic ones for my entrance way, on a base of black mexican pebbles.It lacks originality. Help please

It sounds very Zen to me. You might want to include a plant or two. Plants to use in rock gardening include mosses, ferns, succulents, lichens, euphorbias, creeping phlox, or even small ornamental grasses. Set the rocks so they look right to you - there are no rules. The plant something beside or behind the rock. If you purchase a few plants you can move them around until you are happy with the results and then plant them in their proper spots. Just try different things and you'll find just the look you want. Enjoy!
