The Q&A Archives: drought resistant shrubs

Question: Can you tell me some good shrubs that are drought resistant? I live in Texas.

Answer: There are lots to choose from! Hollies are drought tolerant once established, as are Artemesia, Texas Sage, Photinia, Nandina (Heavenly Bamboo), Beautyberry, White Bush Honeysuckle, and Yellow Bells. Look for native plants in your local garden center and you'll find several others. Enjoy your garden!
