Spider plants tend to get brown tips for several reasons. The most common are lack of humidity, chemicals in the tap water, and being in need of repotting. Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of browned tips is to trim them off neatly with a scissors. Try increasing humidity around your plant by misting it daily (especially during the winter months), and using bottled water in place of tap water.
