The Q&A Archives: Mulch on everything?

Question: I put cocoa bean shells on all my flower gardens. Is that a problem, are there some plants that dont like it?

Answer: Cocoa shells are a good mulching material. Applying them to your soil will help suppress weeds, hold soil moisture, and provide nutrients as they decompose. They should be fine used around plants in any garden site.
