Snow peas do best when given something to climb on. Wire fencing works fine. Another option is a homemade fence created by driving two metal posts in the ground and running a wire between them about 3 or 4 feet high (check the package or catalog description to find out how tall they grow). Next, stick bamboo or fairly straight branch trimmings in the ground beneath the wire at 45 degree angles and tie them to the wire, creating a crisscross lattice effect.
