I started my first garden and I have planted carrots and iceberg lettuce, can you tell me how do I know when they are ripe and ready to be taken out of the garden for eating? |
Iceberg lettuce will be evident when it is ready for harvest. The heads will be large - about 6-7 inches in diameter. Carrots are a little more difficult to judge. Sometimes you need to pull one or two to see how large they are. It usually takes 60-65 days for them to mature so start checking in about 2 months. Enjoy your garden! |
