The Q&A Archives: dead grass from dog urine

Question: how do you get the grass to green up where the dog goes?

Answer: Dog urine has concentrated salts which can affect the soil. Try digging the areas, turning under the top soil so you have fresh soil, then working in a little compost to help moderate the pH. Spread your grass seeds and water them in well. The grass should sprout in 7-14 days. Good luck with your lawn!
