English Ivy grows in nearly every garden situation, from full sunshine to shade. It isn't particular about soil, but does appreciate regular watering while it's becoming established. After that, the plants will get along with whatever moisture is supplied by rainfall. English Ivy is a vigorous plant that will climb over fences, cascade over walls. It's dependable, remains green all year, and is thick enough to crowd out weeds.
